Terms of Service

Last updated: [date]

These terms govern your use of getotp (“we”, “us”), operated by [company legal name], [address]. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. The service

getotp provides temporary phone numbers that can receive SMS messages, so you can complete verification flows. Numbers are rented for a short time and are not yours to keep. Availability depends on third-party providers and is not guaranteed for every service or country.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate details. You are responsible for activity on your account, for keeping your password, two-step verification codes and API keys secret, and for telling us promptly if you think they are compromised.

3. Wallet and payments

Prices are shown in US dollars before you buy. Wallet funds are used to pay for numbers and are not a bank account or e-money product; they do not earn interest. Deposits are processed by third-party payment providers and may be reviewed before they are credited. Wallet funds are non-transferable. See our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Do not use temporary numbers for sensitive accounts such as banking, or for services that prohibit them. We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules or show signs of fraud or abuse, including by applying order limits.

5. API

API access is subject to rate limits and the scopes you grant each key. You are responsible for everything done with your keys.

6. No guarantee of delivery

SMS delivery depends on the sender and carriers. If no message arrives before a number expires, the order is cancelled and refunded automatically. Beyond that, the service is provided “as is” without warranties, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; we will notify you of material changes. You may close your account at any time; unused wallet balance can be requested back as described in the Refund Policy, subject to anti-fraud checks.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Disputes are handled in the courts of [location], unless local consumer law says otherwise.
